The race is on!!!!

Just so you all know, I now have some outside competition.  My sister-in-law who I love dearly called me last night and said that she saw that I have 15 pounds left to lose and she has 15 pounds to lose from having Jackson (only a month ago!).  And she wants to race to see who can get there first!  I’m gonna need your extra support for this one since my weight loss has slowed down considerably. :)

How much gas have you saved?

They say that if you want to improve gas mileage in your car, don’t load it down with extra things as the extra things make up extra weight and it takes extra gas to get a car loaded down with extra weight moving.  So…next time you get into your car, think about how much weight you have lost and KNOW that you aren’t carting that around in your car anymore, thus saving you gas.  :)

Sick of the drama…Comment here!!!!!

Okay, let me start by saying that I don’t know what drama is going on and I am choosing to keep it that way.  What I DO know is that whatever it is, it is causing some VERY good buddies of mine to want to quit Buddyslim.  These buddies have been with me from the beginning.  These buddies have commented on my blogs and YOURS.  These buddies have sent YOU and I booster notes.  These buddies have been in YOUR corner while you wrestle with your weight loss issues.

While I strongly believe that each and every one of us is allowed to voice our opinions and ideas, it is NOT okay to attack someone else.  It is NOT okay to bash someone because of their beliefs.  It is NOT okay to bully someone or make someone feel so uncomfortable that the ONE place that they can come for to support is the ONE place that is letting them fail.  And on this note…did you know that cyberbullying is a criminal offense?  You can and will be tracked down so what is the point?

If you don’t agree with what I am saying, that is your right.  But don’t post it on my blog.  If you feel as strongly as I do then post a comment here.  I will be letting Dr. Marc know that this blog was posted and forwarding it and all comments to him so he can see we are in this together.  The way we should be.

New progress pic

I put up a new progress pic on my profile.  I took it this morning so it is hot off the presses. :)

Have a great Tuesday!!!

My ego-boosting weekend

I wanted to share some things with you guys that happened to me this weekend…

1.  Weighed in Friday morning and I was down 2 pounds.  First, that was a good thing because it meant that I met my mini-goal.  Second, that was a good thing because I have been maintaining or losing only 1/2 pound for what seems like forever!

2.  Got my hair cut Friday afternoon.  That was also a good thing because I have had the same style for what seems like forever as well.  I even got a new color!!!!

3.  I fit comfortably into a size 8 jean!  Yep, that’s right, I have gone from a size 18 to a size 8 in 8 months, 1 week, and 3 days!

Now, here are some comments that I got this week that just put me over the top…

1.  “Damn girl you look good on that bike” (some old guy at the Harley open house on Saturday, lol)

2. “I was telling my friends at work how buddyslim has changed your life and how fantastic you look.” (sister-in-law, Dawn)

3.  “I think a size 8 would fit you better and show off your butt more.” (sales lady)

4. “Anj, you are melting a way to nothing.” (my grandma)

5.  “I am so jealous of how much weight you lost.” (my boss)

6.  “Your hair looks great!” (my brother)

7. “Why can’t I lose this baby weight like you lost your weight?!” (sister-in-law, Ann)

8. “My goodness Anj, it has only been a year, but I didn’t even recognize you!” (friends of my dad’s)

9.  “You are one hot mama!” (my husband)

I do have to admit that getting a new hair cut and color on Friday gave me the boost of confidence that I have been missing and I’m sure it carried me through the weekend :)  With that being said, I give each and every one of you permission to get out there today and do something for you!  Get a new lipstick, cologne, shirt, haircut…anything…just feel really good about it and feel excellent about you and the progress that you are making!

Jane wants a blog…then Jane gets a blog

I was so happy to hear from my buddy Jane today, but saddened because she made me realize that I haven’t blogged much lately.  I guess with being overwhelmed at work, going through some things with my extended family and having a new nephew in the family I haven’t thought much about blogging.  Plus I guess that I just didn’t really have much to say.

As for me personally, things have been going pretty well.  I have been sticking to my calorie intake for the most part but have been slacking on my water, exercise, and vitamins.  Okay, so I guess things haven’t been going as well as they could.  I keep thinking that tomorrow is another day and I will get back on track…guess what?!  There is always another tomorrow waiting around the corner.

The weather is still warm enough here that I have put 500 miles on the motorcycle in about 2 months time and have found a way for my husband, daughter, and I to all ride together.  That’s a great feeling, but it’s not exercise.

I have been reading everyone’s blogs but haven’t commented as much as I used to.  Sometimes I feel so far behind that by the time I get to your blog, seven people have already commented and have said everything that I was going to say.  Then I get depressed thinking that I could have been a better buddy to all that have been such wonderful buddies to me.

Let’s see, what else?  Oh yeah, Kama and I have been revamping the Wildcats team and it’s going really well.  If anyone would be interested in joining a team, we would love to have you with us!!!

Don’t forget to make a buddy smile today! :)
